Sravanam Krtanam:
Honors the Vaisnava practices of hearing and chanting the Holy Name, using the
bhajans of Bhaktivinode Thakur, particularly the Namastakam (prayers glorifying
the Holy Name), as a framework for study. Inspired by the research of
Sacinandana Swami, topics include increasing faith and feeling, devotee
association, avoiding offenses, prayer and more.
This class will focus on improving the quality of our hearing and
chanting. The premise being, that, along with Krsna's mercy, it is our
spiritual practice which bridges the gap between Krsna conscious
philosophy, and the actual experience of Krsna Consciousness. Much of
the material for this class is from the japa retreats and books such as
Harinam Cintamani. We will have a variety of activities, including
japa, kirtan, bhajans and discussion of related topics
This course will be tought by Kartamasa
With collaborations with Radhakunda, Gaura
Shakti, and Manu and others.
